Curious With A Camera

I’ve been making photographs for more than half a century, but these photographs come from a different place than what I usually photograph. These come from my alter ego. I’m no longer trying to create beautiful landscapes or memorable images of nature or even looking for the perfect shot. I’m not working toward a particular photographic goal. There is no agenda. I wander around. I look. I notice things. When something that makes me stop, wonder, smile, look twice or simply see the world a little differently, I raise my camera and make a photograph. It doesn’t matter which camera or which lens. It doesn’t matter which subject. What matters is curiosity and keeping my eyes open. I believe photographs are everywhere and that some of the best ones are hiding in plain sight.
